Tim D. Norris has 10 years of experience
representing employers and educational institutions in all
aspects of labor and employment practice. Mr. Norris regularly
represents and advises public officials on labor and employment
matters, including issues arising under the Public Employee
Collective Bargaining law, the Civil Service laws, and collective-bargaining
agreements. He has extensive experience defending employers
in litigation before state and federal courts and before state
and federal administrative agencies. His expertise includes
matters arising under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities
Act, federal and state wage and hour laws, the Equal Pay Act,
and safety and health laws.
Mr. Norris speaks regularly on employment-law
issues, trains management in the prevention of sexual harassment,
violence, and other misconduct in the workplace, and contributes
commentary to the Massachusetts Civil Service Re porter.
Mr. Norris received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from
Suffolk University Law School and his Bachelor of Science
from Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
He began his career as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps
, where he served as a prosecutor and as labor counsel for
a large West Coast base. Mr. Norris is currently a partner
in the firm of Collins, Loughran & Peloquin.
